The Aftermath


Intro

The world we known changed. Much more than we though. All of this happened during the now famous date of: April 16th, 2032. Everything changed that night, and no one knows exactly how, since all records from that time were lost or destroyed.

But everyone knows saw was the results. Most of the world has been completely destroyed, scorched. The only reason why humankind did survived was because of the force field around some of the major cities in the world. No one knows how, but everything under their protection was intact after the apocalypse.

After the apocalypse, the survivors all regrouped under one banner, the United-Nations, to have better chances to rebuild humanity.

But the apocalypse wasn't the only thing that changed the world...

Outside the cities, strange animals started to appear, looking like nothing we known before. In fact, it was creatures or human, who had been horribly mutated by a unknown virus. But once again, the force fields around cities and the United-Nations Defence Forces protected the population, keeping them safe from any mutations. Some strange giant-winged creatures have been sighted... Dragons...

The world has never been so dangerous.

The place

The rp will take place mostly in Boston, one of the cities lucky enough to had a force field, and it's surroundings. However, people are free to create anything they want around Boston.

One hundred year after the apocalypse, Boston is the capital of the United-Nation and is surrounded by massive steel walls with two quarters and the control tower in the center.

The control tower is the headquarter of the United-Nations, were all the decisions are taken by the UN council. The rich quarters is the place where everyone with a lot of money lives. The life is easy, buildings are nice and people wears fancy clothes. The poor quarter however, is nothing like a place where it's easy to live. At least ten murders takes place here each days, and they are never resolved since the UNDF is not very present. The buildings are falling apart, most people don't even have enough money to eat each days, leading to murdering their neighbours for a piece of bread.

The area around Boston is very dangerous, crawling with mutated beast, Cultists, various raider's clans and even more.

United-Nations and United-Nations Defence Forces

The United-Nations were created 10 years after the Apocalypse, regrouping all the little that remained of humanity under a single banner. They created the United-Nations Defence Forces, or UNDF for short, to fulfill various combat and security roles.

The United-Nations Defence Forces, or simply the UNDF, are the main armed force of the United-Nations. Usually seen guarding the cities safe from the outside, also frequently patrolling the areas close of their cities, protect the armoured-trains convoys and rarely used to destroy a cultists base if it was discovery by one way or another.

The UNDF soldiers are very well trained, well-armed, disciplined and uses brutal ways to keep people safe, earning them the reputation "Keeping you safe, by force." They have a pretty large selection of weaponry and armoured vehicles.

Weaponry
The UNDF are the only one with the access to new weaponry technologies, such as Rail Rifle, Pulse Rifle and others.

The Cultists

Not much is known about the Cultists as they are named by the UNDF. But the few we know is terrifying. They are able to control the Virus, modifying it at their will. As rumoured, they worship the Virus, and the highest members of their organisations are the ones who have been the more mutated at their will. They are very aggressive against the "Infidels", humans who are not worshiping the Virus, often raiding the cities and trains convoys.
